On a blustery night in October 1932, thirty-six-year-old Guntheir climbs his childhood treehouse to forever escape the nightmare of World War 1. For sixteen years, July 1, 1916, has haunted him. The Minutes spent in No Man's Land. Their memory wiped clean, why? Was he responsible for Jimmy's death?
