Come To The Table

Come to the Table was written for my family. Originally, it was a simple recollection of ancestors in the maternal line of the family, where a small, deep-set diamond ring had been passed down to each girl when she turned 16. Now in our fifth generation, there are girls in the family who may not know exactly how the little diamond ring they wear found its way to them. Come to the Table is my latest, and last, attempt to unload the history I have gleaned, gathered, and carried for over 60 years, from sitting and listening to my mother and aunt as they recalled those ancestors. This little remembrance of the Weatherly women includes their recipes, and the near-magical way those recipes came to me.
