NOVATORE

In the chaos of post-World War I Italy, Renzo Novatore (1890-1922) emerged as a poet and philosopher of uncompromising individualist anarchism. Inspired by Nietzsche, Stirner, and Wilde, he rejected church, state, and rising fascism, advocating for the sovereignty of the individual. His writings, crafted while a fugitive facing execution, blend lyrical nihilism with a fierce celebration of personal freedom. Novatore lived his defiance until his death in a 1922 shootout with authorities at age 32.

This collection, translated by Wolfi Landstreicher, includes Novatore's key works-"Toward the Creative Nothing," "My Iconoclastic Individualism," "Black Flags," and "Cry of Rebellion." Reissued in 2025 by the Union of Egoists' Stand Alone project, it features a fresh design, Landstreicher's insightful introduction, and all original 2012 content.
