Alaska, 1918. The SS Princess Sophia is sailing down the coast when a raging blizzard drives the ship onto hidden rocks. Stranded miles from shore, the passengers wait as waves crash and the wind howls. A rescue fleet arrives, but no one can get close enough. Any lifeboat lowered would be smashed to pieces in the furious sea.

Everyone is stuck.

Fourteen-year-old fisherman Isaac Brewster can't accept waiting. While experienced captains wait for the storm to ease, Isaac believes there must be something more they can do. He's going to try again and again - no matter the risk.

But the storm isn't easing.

It's getting worse.
