Noema. A look spanning 25 years

The publication traces the history of Noema, an online magazine (https://noemalab.eu) that in 2025 is 25 (2000-2025). Noema (nóēma, from the Greek νόημα, "thought," "concept," "idea") is one of the oldest online magazines still active in Italy. It focuses on the relationships between expressive forms, technologies, sciences, culture, and society. The word "culture" also means "habits," "ways of life," "communication," "art," "society," "economy," "media," "philosophy," "climate crisis," "environment," "issues of the post-human and non-human," etc., while the term "technologies" should be understood more broadly than just the digital sense. Noema had the ability to foster interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary dialog between the humanities and the technological-scientific dimension, becoming an authoritative voice and hosting contributions from international experts.
