There are things a father wants to say… but does not always find the right moment, the right words, or the right silence.
Letters to Alexis: From a Father’s Heart is born from that intimate space where love turns into counsel and experience seeks to become guidance.
Through sincere and deeply personal letters, a father speaks to his adolescent son about real life: decisions that carry weight, fears that go unspoken, the importance of values when no one is watching, and the courage to be oneself in a world that pulls in every direction. Not from rigid authority, but from the closeness of someone who also made mistakes, learned, and kept moving forward.
This book is for fathers and mothers who want to better accompany their children without imposing, and for adults who, as they read, will revisit their own adolescence with new eyes. There are no magic formulas or empty speeches here, only honest words that invite reflection, dialogue, and emotional connection.
Those who open these pages will take away more than advice: they will find a bridge between generations, a reminder of what truly matters, and the certainty that it is never too late to say what is most important.
Miguel Ángel Núñez, PhD, of Chilean-Argentine descent, is a family counselor and marriage therapist with extensive experience. He travels the world giving conferences and has been a university professor for more than 35 years. He is regularly invited to speak on topics such as child education, sexuality, family dynamics, marriage, anthropology, and ethics. Happily married, he has two adult children, both married, and is the proud grandfather of four grandchildren. He has written more than 100 books and resides in Spain.
