Evie Adams thought moving home to take over her grandmother’s cozy bookstore, The Mossy Page, would be a peaceful escape. She planned on solving fictional murders over Earl Grey tea, surrounded by her closest friends: Alice the meticulous baker, Jo the logical librarian, and Sarah the sharp-witted stylist.
But then the town's wicked property tyrant, Bartholomew Croft, crashes their meeting, slaps an eviction notice on the table, and vows to demolish Evie’s entire life.
Thirty hours later, Evie finds Croft dead—bludgeoned by a marble bookend right in her True Crime section.
Now, Evie is Detective Grant Bishop's prime suspect, thanks to her clear motive, her hidden location, and her blood-smeared fingerprints on the light switch.
With the police looking the wrong way, Evie has to rely on the only group she trusts: The Wednesday Night Murder Club.
The Rules of the Club:

• Rule #3: Always Bring Snacks. When you're chasing a murderer armed with a deadly knowledge of municipal laws, you need Alice's Case Closed Tarts and a whole lot of adrenaline.
