Breaking the Chains

This book traces the arc of Africa's history from its monumental ancient achievements (such as the legacy of ancient Egypt) through the long centuries in which indigenous wisdom and systems were suppressed by colonialism and external domination. It examines the forces that betrayed Africa - political, economic, cultural, and intellectual - and how these have constrained the continent's development and global influence. Breaking the Chains is also a call to action, urging Africans and people of African descent to awaken to their heritage, reclaim their narrative, and rise to rebuild and restore Africa's rightful place in world history and the future.
