Nyansa Year One Upper School Teacher's Guide

Nyansa Classical Community designed the Year One Upper School Teacher's Guide with every student in mind. This book includes primary source texts from Phillis Wheatley, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King Jr, and more. We want students to see the connection these authors make, and the ways they speak to each other, and the reader. These diverse men and women of history help us connect to the virtues of courage, resilience, wisdom, and more.

The Year One Upper School Teacher's Guide book is designed to be used alongside our Year One Upper School Readings. The readings and discussion questions allow students to think deeply about their inner life and the world around them. For a complete curriculum, you can also purchase our Year One Upper School Art Teacher's Guide and Upper School Artwork books. 

Our Teacher's Guide provides instructions and discussion questions for the teacher. The lessons help the instructor to lead each discussion with confidence.
