Coming to terms with disability

This book brings together selected texts by a longstanding disabled political activist. The aim of the book is to enable its readers to gain insights into theoretical, political, social, and personal issues Bob has explored along with others. From how disabled people are viewed and treated, through to revealing some of the consequences of facing disablism, the book challenges our thinking. The importance of this short book is that it captures the political struggle by disabled people over the last five decades and the ideas, experiences, and feelings that underpinned the rise of disability politics.
