Forty years of working with customers and partners throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Americas has exposed me to great stories of leadership. Strong leadership, failed leadership, and everything in between.

I’ve seen snobbish leaders underperform and humble leaders outperform. And that’s usually not a coincidence. You can lead a horse to water, but they’re not all as intelligent and strong-willed as Mr. Ed.

Leadership isn’t just about vision—it’s about judgment. And often, the most critical decisions leaders make are about people: who they hire, who they retain, and where they place their bets for future growth.
