Daddy's Forbidden Touch

"Dad, help me!” My arms locked around my stepdad's neck. Eyes squeezed shut, I pressed myself as close as I could, wishing I could flatten myself into a piece of paper.
"It's okay. I'm here." he murmured, his big hand rubbed slow, gentle circles on my back.
I peeled my eyes open slowly, cheeks burning. God, It's so embarrassing, I'd just step into the entrance and I was already losing it this hard. I swear I heard the other visitors laughing.
Yes, right now we're inside a haunted house-the horror hospital theme.
No one would ever buy that I picked this for my graduation trip. All my classmates since kindergarten have known I'm a total scaredy-cat, even darkness makes me nervous.
I can't even handle those fake-scary prank videos on YouTube-I swipe past them so fast the moment I saw the titles or tags.
But my best friend only needed one line to talk me into it.
"You know in a haunted house you can hug your stepdad as much as you want, and it's totally normal, right?"
She was the only one knew I love being around my stepdad, I've always been drawn to him.
