You’ll learn to use the Application API (core.oam.dev/v1beta1) as the central delivery artifact, understand its rendering pipeline into a resource graph, and design multi-component compositions that scale without hidden coupling. The book goes deep on the platform abstraction layer—Components, Traits, Policies, and Workflows—showing how to build stable X-Definitions, author maintainable CUE templates, package capabilities as addons, and enforce compliance-by-default without blocking delivery. Along the way, you’ll master deterministic progressive delivery patterns (deploy/check/approve/promote), robust health and status design, and systematic debugging from high-level intent down to Kubernetes events.
